The ambulance service assists us with the training of Community First Responders (CFR's) and replaces the consumables that we use on incidents (oxygen masks, for example) but do not give or contribute towards new kits for each new volunteer that joins us.
Each kit, including a defibrillator, costs us £1400. Although a defibrillator is expensive, it can make a crucial difference in saving the lives of patients in cardiac arrest. From your kind contributions, we are able to increase our volunteers and coverage area thus making the communities that we live and work in even more safer.
